In what
was another classic game between the top two
teams in Ventura County, the Braves came from
behind six runs to beat the Rockies 10-7 in the
Ventura NABA Championship Series. In game one of
the three game series, the Braves also had to
make a comeback. Down four runs in the top of
the ninth inning, it was Pancho Tinocos blast,
Zack Anderson electrifying arm, and the clutch
hitting by David Frazier that sparked the
comeback. In game two, the pitching duo of Zack
Beal and Scott Holder proved too much for the
Braves to handle. In the third and final game of
the series, it was Matthew Merrick's relief
performance and Johnny Mosqueda clutch defense
that energized the late come back by the Braves.
Mosqueda also had a big two run single in the
bottom of the eighth to push the Braves past the
Rockies for the teams second championship in the
past two years and third title in the last four
years.
" This was a great year for El Rio Braves
baseball" says Braves manager Osvado Trevino. "
Two evenly matched teams played for the title
and we happen to pull it off again, next season
is shaping up to be a another great season with
the Rockies, Red Soxs, and the addition of the
Indians," Trevino adds.

Interleague Rules:
Final inter-league game rules for 18+ vs 28+
teams (28+ Indians/Ventura Dodgers) as
discussed/approved at the last managers
meeting:
-
Games will be wood bat only for both
teams
-
Pitchers for both teams will be allowed a
maximum of 5 innings per player per game
-
Games do not count toward playoff seeding
-
28+ Indians/Ventura Dodgers will play one
round of games vs all 18+ teams
-
All 18+ teams and 28+ Indians/Ventura
Dodgers will pay an additional $50 each
("Motivation Fee") to League President prior
to start of regular season. Purpose of
Motivation Fee is to give all teams a
significant motivation to compete in the
inter-league games even though the games to
not count toward playoff seeding.
Motivation Fee will be held by League
President until end of inter-league games.
After the final regular season inter-league
game, League President will pay $150 (37.5%)
of Motivation Fee to the 18+ team with the
best record in inter-league games, and $100
(25%) to the 18+ team with second best
record in inter-league games. League
President will also pay $150 (37.5%) of the
Motivation Fee to the 28+ team (Indians or
Ventura Dodgers) with the best inter-league
record. NABA tie breaker rules apply.
-
Teams must complete all inter-league
games (with exception of games canceled by
League President due to weather/field
issues). A team that forfeits an
inter-league game is not eligible to receive
the Motivation Fee.
Restrictions for 38+ vs 28 +(Reds/Astros)
Games will be wood
bat.
Games will count for 38+, not count for 28+
28+ players under 28 can't pitch or catch.
Pitchers 28-37 will be allowed a maximum 5
innings per team, (ex: 2 inn 1 player 3 inn
another player) and it must be the 1st 5
innings of each game.
