The vaunted Royals comeback fell short and were finally put down by the Dodgers 6-4. Major props to hard luck loser Monte Zwirn who went a complete game but came up with only a sore shoulder.
Offensive standouts for the Royals were Craig (I have the sickest OBP in the league) Thompson who went 2 for 3 with 2 singles,a fielders choice and a walk.
Also Milt Ayala went 2 for 3 and Kevin Walton was 2 for 4. Bring on the Cubs!!!!!

A bombed out and depleted Royals squad finally put the Padres away and were victorious 13-10. Eric Kinsey pitched a complete game and was awarded the win.
Stars for the Royals (in almost eerie and identical lines) were Ryan Kline, who was 3 for 4, his proud papa Rick Kline who also went 3 for 4 and the defensive genius Steve Funk, who was 3 for 4. Bring on the Cards!!!
